St Joseph's College Lucan

Uniform

09-August-16

The school uniform is ordered through the school and order forms are available from the Reception. A Uniform Shop is open in the school every Wednesday from 4pm. New uniform items can be purchased from the shop. It is a requirement under the school’s Code of Behaviour that students wear the full uniform at all times. This includes the school tracksuit for PE and the school jacket on the way to and from school. Black or brown leather shoes only must be worn. Parents are asked to cooperate in purchasing appropriate school footwear.

The School Crest (Visible on School Uniform)

The school crest is in the form of a shield symbolizing strength. The 3 diamonds signify dignity, work and nobility and are part of the crest of Nano Nagle - our foundress. The cross is part of the Presentation crest signifying love of God and of others. The 2 sprigs of fleur-de-lys are part of the Sarsfield crest representing the local and French connection. The flame of truth points to our College motto "The truth shall make you free" and is taken from St John's Gospel.
